Video of the incident, posted on Facebook by user Sittichok Phukkhaw, showed the sea snake slithering close to the shoreline as Thai and foreign tourists, along with local residents, watched from a distance.
Kamala Beach lifeguards responded by carefully capturing the snake and returning it to the sea, preventing any danger to beachgoers or the animal.
Officials believe the snake was likely swept ashore by strong winds and rough seas, which can carry marine animals closer to the coastline.
Authorities have reminded visitors not to touch or attempt to handle sea snakes or other potentially dangerous marine animals if they encounter them on the beach.
Instead, tourists are urged to notify lifeguards or relevant authorities so the animals can be dealt with safely.
