The unvalidated memo, apparently issued last Friday (Nov 27), is marked “Urgent” and “Secret”, and was issued by the intelligence arm of the Royal Thai Police Special Branch. It was sent to all of its investigative divisions, reports Khaosod English. (See story here)

The notice cites intelligence from the FSB sent to Thailand’s National Security Council that 10 members of the Islamic State entered Thailand between October 15 and 31.

Two of the terror suspects reportedly travelled to Phuket. Another four travelled to Pattaya and two more stayed in Bangkok, while the destination of the other remains unknown, said the notice.

The current whereabouts of all 10 suspects, however, also remains unknown, the report added.

“The memo urged authorities to increase security around ‘targeted areas’ that Russian authorities are concerned about, including venues associated with allies that have joined attacks on ISIS in Syria such as the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium and Australia,” Khaosod English reported.

The Phuket News has yet to confirm with any authorities the validity of the notice, but will attempt to do do as soon as possible.
