Kathu Police were notified of the incident at about 1:35pm after receiving a report that a foreign woman had fallen from a building at D Condo Creek in Kathu.
Police and emergency responders arrived at Building C of the condominium complex, where the woman was found deceased.
The victim was identified by police as Anastasiia Avdeeva, 32, a Russian national.
According to Kathu Police, the woman’s husband told investigators that the couple had argued inside their eighth-floor room before she left the apartment. He later learned that she had fallen from the building.
A forensic doctor from Vachira Phuket Hospital attended the scene with the investigating officer to conduct a preliminary examination before confirming that the woman had died.
Police reported that an inspection of the condominium room found no signs of a struggle, and the woman’s personal belongings remained inside.
The body was transported to Vachira Phuket Hospital for further examination and legal procedures.
The investigation is being led by Pol Lt Kiattisak Saengmanee, Deputy Inspector (Investigation) at Kathu Police Station.
