Patong Police were called to the condo block, on Sirirat Rd, at about 9:10am.
Officers along with rescue workers from the Kusoldharm Foundation arrived to find the man on a balcony on the fourth floor.
Apparently the man had run into the building and made his way to the room on the fourth floor, which had been unlocked.
After a brief negotiation, the man agreed to come down from the balcony without resistance.
He was immediately taken to Patong Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. Details regarding the cause of the man’s actions remain unclear.
