Police were informed of the theft, at Chalong Mansion in Soi Palai, at about 8:30am today (Jan 30).
A Russian tourist was staying in the room. He had left the door unlocked while he slept, police reported.
The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between midnight and 6:30am, while the Russian man was sleeping.
Police are continuing their investigation in the hope of catching the perpetrator.
