Yesterday’s 202.30km second stage started from Sukhothai and finished at Sukhothai Historical Park after passing through Kamphaeng Phet, reports the Bangkok Post.
Rosli crossed the finish line with a time of four hours, 39 minutes and 17 seconds. The second place was won by another Malaysian Mohamad Izzat Hilmi Abdul Halil of Malaysia Pro Cycling team in 4:39.27.
First stage winner Germany’s Lucas Carstensen from Roojai Insurance team came third in 4:39.27.
Sarawut Sirironnachai of Thailand Continental Cycling team were fourth while New Zealand’s Thomas Sexton of St George Continental Cycling team finished fifth.
Carstensen retained the yellow jersey with an overall time of seven hours 39 minutes and 29 seconds.
Halil was second overall in 7:39.33 hours and Ratchanon Yaowarat of Thailand Continental Cycling team was third in 7:39.37 hours despite finishing in 20th place yesterday.
Terengganu Cycling team claimed the top spot in the overall team general classification with a time of 13 hours 58 minutes and 11 seconds.
Roojai Insurance were second in 13:58.21 hours and St George Continental Cycling team were third. Thailand Continental Cycling team, who topped the podium on Monday, dropped to fourth.
Today’s 176km third stage will start from Sukhothai Historical Park and finish at Phitsanulok.
