The dates for the annual festivities, now called the ‘Dee Phuket’ fair, were announced by officials earlier this week when declaring that tickets for the popular Red Cross lucky draw were now available from government offices and other selected private outlets.
Tickets cost B100 each, with books of 10 tickets costing B1,000 apiece. Numbers available for the lucky draw tickets range from 1,000 through to 8,999.
Up for grabs is the main prize of a Toyota Fortuner 2.4V, with a Toyota Yaris ATIV 1.2 Smart as the second main prize.
Other main prizes to be won include three Honda Scoopy-i motorbikes, five small electric scooters amd seven 42-inch TVs.
The draws for the main prizes will be held at the centre stage area at 10pm on Saturday, Jan 6.
Among the other prizes to be won as the “last 3 digits” prize are 80 oil-free fryers.
Traditionally offered as smaller prizes to be won each night are bags of household necessities just to offer people something to take home from the fair on the night.
The festivities, as always, will include live entertainment on stage each night. The lineup of artists has yet to be announced for the event this year.
Money raised from the sale of lucky draw tickets goes towards funding Phuket Red Cross projects, namely providing assistance to people living in poverty.
