This luxurious setting for filming will showcase the arresting beauty of Bang Tao’s beach as another less-frequented upscale area of Phuket.
Being the base for a leading regional reality show (being broadcast in 20 territories) will push Phuket into a top destination of choice.
Singapore-based developer Castlewood Group, donated four of their five-star villas to be used over the course of the season.
This new development, set to open in 2015, not only showcases the hotel, but also Phuket as a glamorous and attractive destination, with investment being poured into the region from property developers such as Castlewood Group and Banyan Tree, among others.
The Castlewood Group became the exclusive property partner of Asia’s smash-hit TV show, The Apartment, with their latest installment The Apartment Celebrity Edition, which will debut on StarWorld across more than 20 territories later this year.
This season saw 12 celebrity contestants battling it out to win US$100,000 (B3.2 million) which will be donated to a charity of their choice. The four celebrity teams were each provided with a luxurious villa and had the job of transforming the award-winning villas, within their allocated budget and time-frame.
This season will follow the contestants, through 10 action-packed episodes, design each room of the villa in a quest to impress the judges.
The show, produced by Imagine Group, sees the return of head judge, world-renowned interior designer Laurence-Llewelyn Bowen, award-winning horticulturalist and landscape designer Jamie Durie, colour guru Jeremy Rowe, and ex-model and interior designer Andrea Richard Savage. Andrea Savage has also been a guest judge in the previous season of The Apartment.
