The arrests, led by Phuket Provincial Police Crime Suppression Division chief Pol Lt Col Phichit Thongto, were made yesterday (July 30), police reported.
Tribut ‘Tor’ Samaktalay, 47, registered as living in Moo 4, Wichit, was arrested at a house on Saiyuan Rd in Moo 7, Rawai, noted the police report.
In placing him under arrest officers seized 2,987.12 grammes of ya ice and 12 methamphetamine pills (ya bah).
Also seized as evidence were a digital weighing scale, drug paraphernalia, four B100 banknotes reportedly from drug sales and a Samsung Galaxy A31 phone.
Also arrested was Rochad ‘Dee’ Yeabwat, 36, from Songkhla Province. He was arrested in front of the house on Saiyuan Rd, police noted.
Rochad was found with about 0.15g of ya ice and 15 meth pills.
Both men were taken to Chalong Police Station and charged with illegal possession of a Category 1 narcotic with intent to sell and illegal use of a Category 1 narcotic, police confirmed.
