On Thursday (Apr 11) at around 4pm DDPM Wichit officers were summoned to a residence near the well-known Naka Shrine in Wichit, where a python had sneaked into a house.
Equipped with a standard snake-catching pole featuring a loop at the end, the officers managed to safely secure the python and subsequently relocated it from the premises. The snake was later released into a natural area far from residential zones.
The following day, at approximately 10.40am on Friday (Apr 12), another call was received from concerned residents. The DDPM Wichit officers arrived at the location, specified in the report as Soi Thung Charoen 9, to capture and release another unidentified snake.
DDPM Wichit has highlighted that it operates three centers which the public can contact in case of emergencies or for assistance, such as removing large snakes or reporting wildfires:

- Panwa Center (Ao Makham): Tel. 076-684443
- Surakul Center (behind Surakul Stadium): Tel. 076-540899
