Fuel prices rose by B1.80 per litre for diesel and B1 per litre for petrol at 5am, reports the Bangkok Post.

At PTT petrol stations, fuel prices in Bangkok and its vicinity are:

- B40.74 per litre for high speed diesel

- B56.44 for B7 premium diesel

- B50.64 for gasoline 95

- B42.05 for gasohol 95

- B53.04 for premium gasohol 95

- B37.05 for gasohol E20

- B33.79 for gasohol E85

- B41.68 for gasohol 91

The prices rose although the Office of the Oil Fuel Fund announced late Monday night it would increase its high speed diesel subsidy from B16.67 to B18.76 per litre.

The previous all-time high at the pump followed a six-baht-per-litre increment on Thursday last week.

Global oil prices have soared as the US-Iran war continues unabated with thousands of cargo ships trapped in the Persian Gulf, unable to pass through the Strait of Hormuz and into the Arabian Sea.
