Jampa was properly buried at the Laksi Sheep Farm in Nakhon Phanom after a monk performed the proper burial rites for the animal. The sheep died following a severe beating by Noopetch Mokla, 35, who snuck onto the farm while drunk Wednesday night (March 25), Coconuts reported.

Jampa was put in a coffin with her name written on it before she was buried beneath the grass she once chewed peacefully upon.

Pitchaya Pocharatsadorn, the transgender woman who owns the farm, said Jampa sustained blows to her head until her brain became swollen, killing the ewe. She considered Jampa as one of her own children.

The assailant Noopetch had to pay B15,000 compensation. Pitchaya dropped the charges, Khaosod reported.
