The Privy Council of Thailand is the body of appointed advisors to the Monarchy of Thailand. His Majesty the King alone appoints all 18 members of the council.
Privy Councillor Gen Dapong was received to the campus by Dr Hiran Prasarnkarn, President of Phuket Rajabhat University, along with university executives and staff.
The inspection took place in the Thian Sirindhorn Conference Room at the Chalermprakiat Building, where Asst Prof Dr Manop Chachiyo, Vice President for Student Affairs, provided a comprehensive briefing on the university’s student development strategies.
The briefing emphasised the university’s commitment to cultivating students’ volunteer spirit, resilience, and community innovation under the motto “Volunteer Spirit, Resilient Worker, Community Innovator”.
The university offers scholarships and welfare benefits to students and has implemented an advisor system to support student achievements, Asst Prof Dr Manop explained.
Privy Councillor Dapong addressed the students, highlighting the importance of developing a volunteer spirit, stressing that it begins with self-love, which in turn enables individuals to love and help others.
He then engaged in discussions with student leaders from various faculties to address challenges and operational activities within the university.
Privy Councillor Dapong met with university staff, and shared royal educational policies aimed at elevating Phuket Rajabhat University. The focus was on aligning student development with the policies to achieve the university’s goals.
