Patong Municipality has announced temporary traffic restrictions on sections of Thaweewong Rd, Bangla Rd and Rat-U-Thit 200 Pi Rd around Jungceylon shopping centre from 4pm to 8pm to accommodate the parade and related festivities.
Officials have urged residents and visitors to plan their journeys in advance and avoid affected routes during the event.
“Every difference makes our society more beautiful,” the municipality said in a public notice inviting residents and tourists to join the celebrations and support diversity, equality and inclusion.
Organisers have also announced a last-minute change to the festival’s main stage location.
The main stage, originally planned for Bangla Square near the Bangla Police Booth, has been moved to The Bay Arena at Jungceylon shopping centre.
Organisers said the change was made to improve convenience for participants and visitors. The event schedule remains unchanged.
The Phuket Pride Parade is one of the headline events of Phuket Pride Festival 2026, which has been held throughout the week under the theme of promoting diversity, equality and acceptance.
The parade is expected to travel through central Patong before concluding with entertainment and celebrations at Jungceylon.
Meanwhile, preparations are also continuing for Phuket City Pride 2026, scheduled for June 27 in Phuket Town.
Phuket City Municipality officials met with police and traffic authorities on Thursday (June 4) to discuss temporary road closures, parade routes and security measures for the event.
Deputy Mayor Pibulsak Kittithorakun joined the meeting, which was chaired by Phuket Provincial Police Deputy Commander Pol Col Phaskorn Sonthikul.
Municipal officials said Phuket City Pride 2026 aims to celebrate Pride Month while promoting equality, diversity and acceptance, alongside boosting tourism and economic activity in Phuket Town.
Authorities are expected to announce traffic arrangements for the June 27 celebrations closer to the event date.
