The power outage, from 9am to 4:30pm, is to allow workers to safely carry out repairs and maintenance to high-voltage cables in the area from Baan Suan Layan to the entrance to Layan Soi 2 in Moo 6, Cherng Talay.
The areas to be affected by the power outage were listed as: Ocean Breeze Estate, Layan Village Co Ltd, Lemongrass Condominium Co, Layan Escape Co Ltd, SPS Phuket Construction Co Ltd, Layan Green Park Co Ltd, Lotus Garden and Layan Soi 1.
The PEA urged residents and businesses in these regions to make necessary arrangements to minimise any inconvenience during the specified outage period. People are advised to unplug sensitive electronic equipment and take precautions to safeguard appliances.
The PEA Thalang branch apologised for inconvenience caused by the power outage.
