The power outage will be from 9am to 4:30pm, to allow work to be carried out on the high-voltage power system in the area.
PEA listed the following areas to be affected by the outage: Layan Soi 1, Ocean Breeze Estate, The Villas Overlooking Layan resort project, Lemongrass Condominiums and the Layan Escape project.
However, a map showing the area to be affected also includes Tamarind Hills, Layan Sea View Villas, Areeya Villa Layan, Phuket and Aileen Villas Layan.
The PEA urged residents and businesses in these regions to make necessary arrangements to minimise any inconvenience during the power outages. People are advised to unplug sensitive electronic equipment and take precautions to safeguard appliances.
The PEA Thalang branch apologised for inconvenience caused by the power outages.
