The couple have been keeping very quiet about their relationship and the wedding, though her personal manager said today that they would hold a press conference and celebratory party tomorrow (July 24) at the Oriental Residence at 2pm.
One of her friends, Ben Chalatit told Thai Rath newspaper, “I knew about a month ago about her wedding... Tata has been working all her life and gives happiness to everyone. Now it’s time for her to be happy.
“They have know each other since Tata was very young. Whatever happened in her life, Mor is the one who has always stood by her. Whenever she fell in love or broke up with someone, she would always ask for his suggestions, until they become good friends.
“I’m so glad that she eventually agreed to spend the rest of her life with him.”
Although 33-year-old Tata has been taking it easy recently, she has hads a hectic life so far. She was “discovered” when, at the age of just 11, she won a singing contest.
Four years later saw the release of her first album, Amita Tata Young. It sold more than million copies in five months.
Since then she has released another eight albums: Amazing Tata (1997), Tata Young (2001), Real TT (2003), I Believe (2004), Dangerous Tata (2005), Temperature Rising (2006), One Love (2008) and Ready for Love (2009).
Apart from singing, Tata has also been a model for Chanel, has appeared in three movies, a TV soap opera and two seasons of Acedemy Fantasia.
Her best known songs are My Bloody Valentine, El-Nin-Yo, Cinderella, I Think Of You, Sexy Naughty Bitchy, I Believe, Dhoom Dhoom (also a big hit in India) and Reach For The Star.
