The man was arrested somewhere in the Wichit area on Tuesday (Nov 19), Border Patrol Police Company 425 said in their brief report.
The time and location of the arrest was not reported.
The suspect arrested was named only as 31-year-old ‘Mr Thiraphong’, also known as ‘Art’.
Thiraphong was found in possession of 2,924.13 grammes of ya ice, a digital scale and other evidence, police said n their report.
Photos provided confiming Thiraphong’s arrest also showed orange methamphetamine pills (ya bah) seized, which were not included in the written report.
Thiraphong and the seized evidence were handed over to Wichit Police Station, where he was charged with several offences, including the sale of a Category 1 narcotic with intent for commercial distribution, driving under the influence of drugs, and illegal drug use.
The operation was led by Pol Lt Amphon Samothai, Head of the 425th Border Patrol Police Company, under the supervision of Pol Col Pimonrat Thammathip, Commander of the 42nd Border Patrol Police, and Pol Lt Col Kittipat Rueanruay, Deputy Commander of the 42nd Border Patrol Police, said the brief report
Narcotics Suppression Bureau officers, led by Pol Lt Bannawit Eiamsuwanchai, and others also participated in the raid, the report said.
