Officers led by Pol Lt Col Phichit Thongto raided a house in Moo 2, Rawai, and arrested Thanabat ‘Bank’ Nomsaksiri, yesterday (June 19), police reported.
In carrying out the raid officers seized 171 methamphetamine pills (ya bah), 6.2 grammes of crystal meth (ya ice), a 9mm Smith & Wesson semi-automatic pistol, 24 bullets of various calibres, drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, a drug ledger and a Samsung Galaxy A16 mobile phone allegedly used for drug transactions.
Police said Thanabat faces multiple charges including illegal drug possession with intent to sell, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, and drug use.
He was taken into custody at the scene and transferred to Chalong Police Station for further legal proceedings, police confirmed.
