Lt Sunan Patnoo, an investigator with the Thalang Police, was called to the home, near Wat Thepkrasattri (Ban Don) School, at 2:45am.

Inside the house, police officers and Kusoldharm rescue workers found the body of Channarong Sinkar, 30, dressed only in black shorts.

“A black power wire was taped to his right right hand. At this stage it looks like he taped the power lead to his hand then inserted the plug into the power socket on the wall,” Lt Sunan said.

“We found no evidence of assault or a struggle, and nothing seems to have been stolen from the property. We estimate that he died less than six hours before his body was found.”

Regardless, Mr Channarong’s body was taken to Thalang Hospital for further examination and to confirm the cause of death, Lt Sunan added.

“We will follow up with an investigation into his death and question his family to learn more about his personal situation,” Lt Sunan said.
