Following the posting of the video on Friday (Feb 7), Wichit Police Chief Pol Col Chatree Chueakaew, directed Pol Lt Col Atthawat Suwannarat, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation, and an investigation team to obtain a search warrant for the suspect’s residence.
The operation led to the arrest of the individual and the seizure of a 12-gauge Remington shotgun, which was legally registered under the suspect’s brother, Wichit Police reported.
The suspect, not named by police, has been charged with “possession of a firearm without permission” and “carrying a firearm in a city, village, or public road without urgent necessity appropriate to the circumstances”, Wichit Police confirmed.
The incident unfolded during an argument that escalated into a violent conflict, police said.
Regarding allegations of assault and intimidation, the investigation team has sent the victim to a hospital for medical examination.
Evidence is being collected to support further legal action against the suspect on all related charges.
