The youngsters, who were the only team from the south of the country to enter the competition, which was held from Feb 23-Mar 4, were knocked out in the quarter-finals 5-4 on penalties by a Pattaya United (Assumption Sriracha) U13 team after the game finished drawn after the official 90 minutes.

The PSA team had managed to book their place in the quarters following a 6-5 win, again on penalties, over a team representing Sukothai.

President of the Sports Association of Thailand Phuket office Thammawat Wongcharoenyot said following the event that the Phuket players had done well to reach the quarter finals of the event as competition included teams from Assumption United, Buriram United, Pattaya United and Samutsongkhram FC, all of which have top-level teams playing in the Thai league.

It was Assumption United FC who walked away with the winners trophy after defeating Bangkok United 3-0 in the final.
