Phuket-trained legend to make MMA debut at Full Metal Dojo

MMA: The upcoming Full Metal Dojo 4: Once upon a Time in Bangkok event will be headlined by a clash of two titans of Thailand and Cambodia martial arts.

Thailand's Jomhod Kiatadisak – a former Lumpienee and Rajadamnern champion who won over 20 major world title in his career – will make his mixed martial arts debut against Cambodian champion Vorn Viva on Saturday (February 21) at Live House Studios in Bangkok.

The 44-year-old Jomhod has been training for his debut MMA fight at Phuket's Tiger Muay Thai & MMA Training Camp alongside fighters George Hickman, Alex Schild, Roger Huerta and a host of others.

The Phang Nga native has been a trainer in Phuket for the past decade (his gym, Jomhod Muay Thai is near Phuket International Airport) and he most recently came out of retirement to fight Olympic gold medalist Somluck Khamsing back in 2012.

Vorn Viva, meanwhile, is the first Cambodian world champion kickboxer and,at 42 years old, will also be making his MMA debut at Full Metal Dojo 4.

The event will also see Phuket's Michael DuBois (1-1) take on Dmitrijs Homjakovs (1-0) and Phuket Top Team's Andres da Forno (1-0) against Jason Archilla, who has been training at Tiger Muay Thai.

Rawai-based gym AKA Thailand's very own Masoud Rahmani of Iran (1-0) will be fighting Yoann Gouaida (4-3) in the promotion's first-ever heavyweight bout.
