The so called "Seven Days of Danger" road-safety awareness raising efforts include the setting up of checkpoints island wide where motorists can park to rest, wake up, or possibly be breathalized by police officers.
Here, The Phuket News has compiled daily Phuket traffic injury and death statistics for the period, supplied by police directly, in addtion to and emergency response volunteers through the Thai Road Safety Culture organisation.
