The awards were presented during the 3rd/2026 meeting of the Committee for Promoting the Implementation of the Master Plan under the National Strategy on Combating Corruption and Misconduct in Phuket Province, held at Provincial Hall on Tuesday (June 30).
The meeting was chaired by National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) Phuket Office Chief Suwat Saowaran and attended by committee members and representatives from relevant government agencies.
Before the meeting, new Phuket Governor Chotinrin Kerdsum presided over a ceremony to present provincial Best Practice certificates for the implementation of the "Anti-Corruption Education" curriculum.
The awards recognised schools and educational institutions that had demonstrated outstanding success in promoting ethical values and integrity among students.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of anti-corruption prevention and suppression efforts undertaken by NACC Region 8 in Phuket during the third quarter of the 2026 fiscal year.
Officials reported on measures to promote good governance within government agencies, proactive monitoring of corruption risks, and the selection of model anti-corruption networks across Phuket for the 2026 fiscal year.
Committee members also received guidelines aimed at increasing transparency and reducing opportunities for corruption in the processing of government permits under laws governing public service procedures.
Representatives from various agencies exchanged views on ways to improve anti-corruption measures, with members agreeing that prevention and enforcement efforts should be strengthened and made more effective.
Officials said recommendations from the meeting would be used to develop future policies and operational measures to improve transparency, accountability and public confidence in government administration.
The meeting highlighted continued cooperation between government agencies and other sectors in implementing Thailand’s national anti-corruption strategy and promoting a culture that rejects corruption.
