The incident occurred Saturday evening (June 6), when a female teacher living in the school accommodation in Phuket Town contacted the foundation for assistance after discovering a snake inside her home.

Rescuers arrived at the residence and conducted an initial search, but were unable to catch the reptile as it retreated into hard-to-reach spaces within the building structure.

Believing the snake was still inside the house, the teacher later contacted rescuers again and requested further assistance.

During a more detailed inspection, rescuers traced the snake’s location to a concealed area within a wall. Determining that the animal could not be safely removed by other means, they broke through a section of concrete to gain access.

The operation was successful, with rescuers safely capturing the python and removing it from the property.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

The snake was relocated away from the residence to ensure the safety of occupants.

Rescuers reminded the public to regularly inspect homes and surrounding areas during the rainy season, when snakes and other reptiles may seek shelter in buildings to escape wet conditions and search for food.

Residents who encounter snakes are advised not to attempt to catch them themselves and instead contact trained rescue personnel for assistance.

The Kusoldham Phuket Foundation can be contacted 24 hours a day by calling their hotline 1163, or 076-355301 or 076-355302.
