The award was presented as part of the illustrious Football Association of Thailand (FAT) under Royal Patronage annual awards ceremony at the Grand Fourwings Convention Hotel in Bangkok on July 7.
FAT President Nualphan Lamsam, affectionaly known as Madame Pang, chaired the event, while Surasak Panjaroenvorakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, presided over the opening ceremony and presented awards to category winners throughout the evening.
“This award recognises organisations with outstanding achievements in promoting and cultivating a love of football among youth and for reinforcing its success in sustainable youth football development,” said Mr Surasak before presenting the award to PPAO President Rewat Areerob.
The award recognised an advanced football skills training course developed by the PPAO in collaboration with FAT coaches that was derived from the 2025 FIFA Football for Schools program and designed to continuously develop football skills among youngsters to lay a strong foundation for the future of football in Thailand.
As part of the course, which ran from Apr 30 to May 13 this year, participating students from Phuket visited the FAT headquarters in Bangkok to study football management and associated techniques.
The youngsters also had chance to train with Thai League 1 professional side Muangthong United Football Club, before taking in the club’s home match against BG Pathum United to experience the atmosphere of professional competition.
Furthermore the youngsters received skills training at the ThaiBev Football Academy, a national football youth development institution.
“This award reflects the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization’s commitment to promoting sports, developing youth, and creating opportunities for children and youth to achieve sustainable excellence in football,” said Mr Rewat.
Joining Mr Rewat at the ceremony to receive the award was Aomduen Phiwthong, Director of the Tourism and Sports Division of the PPAO, along with fellow representatives, official coaches and relevant officials.
