Vice Governor Adul Chuthong chaired a planning meeting at Phuket Provincial Hall this week, attended by heads of government departments, security agencies and related officials involved in organising the visit.
The meeting focused on readiness preparations for the royal visit, including security arrangements, traffic management and preparations along the royal procession route.
Officials also reviewed preparations at Phuket International Airport and along the full travel route to ensure smooth operations and minimise disruption to the public.
The meeting received a report from the advance survey team of the Bureau of the Royal Household, led by Lt Gen Chakkaj Prasong, Royal Guard to Her Royal Highness, who recently inspected the reception route and event venue.
Authorities also reviewed details of the official programme, including the royal arrival in Phuket, a visit to a student academic exhibition and the formal opening ceremony for the Sri Sirindhorn Building at Chalermprakiat School, which operates under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
All agencies were instructed to coordinate closely on venue preparations, staffing and security measures to ensure the visit proceeds smoothly and with full dignity.
The latest meeting follows earlier inspections carried out this month as Phuket continues preparations for the expected royal engagement.
