A high-level delegation led by Lt Gen Chakkaj Prasong, Royal Guard to Her Royal Highness, visited the island last Friday (May 1) to assess preparations and carry out a site survey ahead of the visit. The delegation was received by Vice Governor Adul Chuthong, alongside senior provincial officials and representatives from key agencies.

The visit included an inspection of Chalermprakiat Somdej Phra Srinakarin School, where Her Royal Highness is scheduled to preside over the inauguration of the “Sri Sirindhorn” building.

Officials from the Phuket Provincial Police, the 41st Military District, the 3rd Naval Area Command and other security and administrative bodies joined the inspection and planning session, reflecting a coordinated effort to ensure the visit proceeds smoothly.

Authorities confirmed that preparations are focusing on all key aspects of the event, including venue arrangements, facilities, security measures and the sequence of ceremonial proceedings. Close coordination between agencies has been emphasised to ensure that protocols are followed with the highest level of respect and efficiency.

The visit is currently scheduled as a private royal engagement, with all departments instructed to complete readiness measures well in advance of the June 1 date.
