The investigation began yesterday (Sept 19)  when the body of Ms Thitirat Chatiput, 47, was discovered hidden in a ditch along the Nakhon Chai Si-Huai Phlu road in Nakhon Pathom Province.

Ms Chatiput, a GrabCar driver residing in Bangkok, had been missing since Sept 10. Her family reported her missing, and authorities later found that her black MG car, bearing license plate 6 Kor Chor 7998 Bangkok, had been stolen.

Initial investigations suggest that the victim was murdered, and her car stolen. Police first detected the vehicle’s GPS signal in Nakhon Sawan Province last Friday (Sept 13).

Most recently, a CCTV camera captured the car near the Thalang District Office in Phuket  yesterday, with its last GPS signal recorded at 1:12pm.

Phuket Provincial Police, in coordination with Police Region 8, have instructed all stations to be on alert and to report any sightings of the vehicle immediately.

The investigation is ongoing.
