Organised by The Pure Blue Foundation – in association with Aleenta Resorts and the Akaryn Hospitality Management Services Group – the fifth edition of the fundraiser is being dubbed “Into The Blue Fundraiser”
The evening will commence at 7pm at the prestigous resort just across Sarasin bridge in Phang Nga's Thai Muang district, and facilitate a night of beachfront fun and food, with an exclusive cocktail dinner including live cooking stations, and entertainment.
Guests can look forward to live performances by Air Samui with Aerial Silk, acrobatics and artistic pole danciong, LED dance show and a soothing and energising soundtrack provided by the resort's resident DJ.
Tickets for the event are priced at B1,999 and include dining, free-flow drinks and a chance to win various prizes.
“All proceeds from the event will go to the Pure Blue Foundation, with the funds to support reef development in the Andaman Sea, as well as the Thai Muang Turtle Sanctuary, where baby turtles are nourished until maturity, then released back to nature,” explained Matthias Franz Jaeckel, Resort Manager.
“Guests will not win money but other desirable items such as jewelry, Akaryn Hotel vouchers, and the opportunity to adopt a turtle... Above all, it will be a night of glamour and delicious food,” he added.

Having raised B1.4 million to date, The Pure Blue Foundation's initial emphasis was restoring the damaged reef off Phang Nga's Natai Beach. After several years of focus on reef development projects, and coming to the realization that the long term viability of the reef was under threat due to a shift in underwater currents between May-October that prevented the coral holding firm 5 metres below the surface, the foundation made the decision to switch its focus in 2010 to turtle conservation. To date, the foundation has released more than 290 Leatherback turtles, 47 Oliver Ridley turtles and 24 Hawksbill turtle into the Andaman Sea to repopulate the dwindling turtle population.
