The professional and ethical qualities of the three Phuket nurses were acknowledged in two separate posts published on Nov 3 by the southern branch of the Nurses Association of Thailand on the organization’s Facebook page. These posts were subsequently shared on the Phuket Info Center page.
The first post celebrated the actions of Chulalak Limluecha from Thalang Hospital. On the morning of Oct 29, Ms Chulalak was returning home from her night shift and came across a motorcycle accident on Thepkrasattri Rd. The incident occurred in front of Muang Thalang School in Thalang.
Ms Chulalak assisted in safely transferring the injured man to the sidewalk and providing first aid before an ambulance transported the patient to Thalang Hospital. The man had injured his left leg and sustained multiple abrasions, the Nurses Association of Thailand said.
The second post commended the actions of Supornphan Kitbanyonglert and Duangporn Phongsrila from Vachira Hospital. These nurses, while returning from their day shift on Nov 2, came across a motorcycle accident in Baan Pon area of Thalang.
Ms Supornphan and Ms Duangporn administered vital first aid to a man who had suffered a head injury and an abdominal wound. The patient was promptly transported to Thalang Hospital.
The Nurses Association of Thailand “expressed their admiration and honour” to all the three nurses, “who demonstrated sacrifice and used their professional knowledge to do good deeds for the society.”
