At 10am yesterday (July 24), inspectors from the Phuket City Police led by Capt Tawan Nuankaew arrested Tuan Budiman or Tuan Tanamae, 33, from Pattani after he was caught on CCTV stealing a motorbike from the Yamaha Music School located on Thungkhar Rd in Phuket Town last Thursday (July 19).

Tuan was arrested at a dormitory in Thungkhar Rd and was found to be in possession of a stolen black Honda Click with no licence plate and the bike’s licence plate.

Police also seized from Tuan the clothes and shoes he was wearing when the theft took place.

Police said that following the theft they checked CCTV from the area and could clearly see the thief’s face.

Police then shared the image of the thief on Phuket Line groups and were notified of who the thief was and where he lived.

Officers initially charged Tuan of theft and receiving stolen goods at Phuket City Police Station. However, officers then discovered he had an outstanding arrest warrant no. 25/2548 dated July 8 2548 for theft using a getaway vehicle and taking other peoples’ property.
