Among those present at the activity were deputy minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Daopong Rattanasuwan and Governor Nisit Jansomwong.
Gov Nisit said, “I am so glad that the deputy minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources has joined this activity today which is aimed at preserving Phuket̕s ocean.”
Deputy Minister Daopong added, “Conservation is not just about cleaning, and it is becuase of man-kind that the ocean is being destroyed. We have to communicate clearly to fishermen the damage they can cause too.
“Two days ago Prime Minister Prayut asked me, “Do you have any plans to save the ocean?”, to which i replied, I have action plans and i have visited an aqurium to learn about how sea creatures can die as a result of eating trash.
“I showed PM Prayut what can happen to sea animals that eat plastic and told him that some of the animal which die are very rare.”
