The suspect, Anantrak Phethin, was apprehended by officers from the Investigation Division of the Phuket Provincial Police at around 11:10am in the parking lot of the Phuket Provincial Land Office on Damrong Rd in Phuket Town.

The operation was conducted under the direction of senior police officials, including Pol. Col. Sinlert Sukhum, Commander of the Phuket Provincial Police, and his deputies, with officers led by Pol Lt Col Warattha Wutthirak, Deputy Chief of Investigation, police reported.

The arrest followed Phuket Provincial Court Warrant No. 266/2568, issued on Thursday. Anantrak is accused of “jointly entering another person’s real estate to take possession of all or part of that real estate or entering to do anything that disturbs the normal possession of the real estate by threatening to use violence.”

Police had tracked Anantrak’s movements and located him at the land office. Upon identifying the suspect, officers confirmed his identity through his ID card.

Anantrak reportedly admitted to being the person named in the warrant and acknowledged he had not previously been arrested or surrendered, police said.

Officers informed Anantrak of the charges against him and his legal rights, including the right to remain silent, the right to legal counsel, and the right to notify someone he trusts about the arrest. He chose to inform Ms Daonapa Petchjan of his detention.

Police emphasised that the arrest was carried out lawfully, without any coercion, threats, or improper conduct. No harm or damage was caused during the arrest, and no property was seized, police said.

Anantrak was later taken to Patong Police Station for further legal proceedings.
