The Phuket Immigration Office, the Land Transport Department and the Employment Office, all in Phuket Town, will be closed, as will District Offices and local consulates across the island.
However, banks and and their branches in major shopping malls will remain open, while post offices will remain open until noon.
Meanwhile, bars and restaurants across the island will be forced to refrain from selling alcohol during the two major Buddhist holidays. (See story here.)
