This is celebrated each and every year on the second Saturday of January.
In Thai it is known as “Wan Dek” and the day is celebrated with the children having fun with various activities arranged by both Government agencies and private businesses.
Phuket is of course no different and many Government offices, hotels etc will hold special events to celebrate this special day.
Where to take your kids this Children's Day
Below are some of the activities for you and your families to enjoy this coming Children's Day!
Phuket Provincial Hall
A joyful children's celebration is ready for children to enjoy at Phuket Provincial Hall. Activities will commence at 7am and run until 4pm. .
3rd Navy Fleet Base
Activities at the 3rd Navy Fleet Base will run from 8am until 3pm and will include a military truck show, airforce power show from Wing 7 (Air force military, Southern base of Thailand), and a chance for everyone to board and view the Bangpakong military ship.
Phuket Rajabhat University
Phuket Rajabhat University has organised a range of fun activities that will run start from 8am.
Laguna Phuket
Laguna Phuket invites all children and families to join their National Children's Day Celebration on Saturday, 10 January 2015 at Laguna Grove. Event entry is free for everyone and activities include a Laguna Phuket Kids Got Talent competition along with lucky draw prizes, stalls and game booths. The event runds from 4pm until 8pm.
Royal Phuket Marina
PIMEX, Phuket's International Boatshow is a family affair! Bring your kids along with you to the show on the Saturday and Sunday. They don't have to see the exhibits, they can join in at the film club at RPM while parents can tour the show. Just drop them off at the RPM Sales Office.
Jungceylon
Join the Jungceylon galaxy kids day being held from 10 – 11 january 2015 at the port arena,. Activities include lightsabers in “space battle” show, meet & greet with cosplayers, and ground activities. There is also a chance for the kids to show their creative galaxy costume for a chance to win big prize. Register to receive an activities coupon set from 11.00 am. to 5.00 pm. Free.
Cherng Talay Municipality Office
Or Bor Tor Chengthalay have organised a fun-filled Children's Day which run from 9am to 12am.
Rassada Municiplaity Office
Or BorTor Rassada have created a special Children's Day event for all the family. Activites staryt from 7am.
Suan Sri Phuvanat Park
Or Bor Tor Vichit's Children's Day celebrations will take place at Suan Sri Puwanat Parl and includes a number of shows and avtivities. Starting from 8.30am -12.30pm.
Loma Park
Or Bor Tor Patong's celebrations will be held at Loma Park starting from 8.30am. A range of activities including shows, entertainment and more will be there to enjoy.
Chalermphakiet Public Park
Or Bor Tor Kamala's children's Day activities will run from 8.30am to 12am at Chalermphakiet public. There will be as well as variety of fun activities for kids and parents.
Phuket Aquarium
The underwater worls will come to life as Phuket aquarium celebrates Children's Day. The fun and games will run from 9am – 4pm.
Prince of Songkla Univeristy
Or BorTor Kathu's Children's Day activities are being held at PSU Prince of Songkla Univeristy and will be held from 8am – 12am.
Talah Beach
Or Bor Tor Paklok has arranged special Children's Day games and entertainment which will takle place on Talah Beach starting from 8am.
Naihan Lake
Or Bor Tor Rawai have created a fun-filled afternoon of fun activities for the whole family which will take place at Nai Harn Lake from noon to 5pm.
