Ms Martine Delaloy told Cherng Talay Police that the attack happened while she was cycling on the road between Bang Tao Beach and Leypang Beach.
Two men approached from the opposite direction and stopped by the side of the road.
“It looked like one of them got have to have a pee, but after I passed by, they turned around and followed me,” Ms Delaloy said.
“One of them got off the motorbike and snatched my bag, which dragged me down onto the road,” she said
The thieves made off with is B500, a mobile phone and a cloth, Ms Martine said.
Ms Delaloy suffered scratches and bruises to her nose and the right side of her face, as well as her left knee and foot.
The only description of her assailants that Ms Delaloy could provide was that the man driving the motorbike was wearing a grey shirt.
Police are investigating further in the hope of apprehending the two men.
