Vivat Keemanotch, ex-chief of Phuket Provincial Public Health Office said, “Japan has very good teams who are well prepared to deal with disasters and emergencies. As DMAT Thailand (Disaster Medical Assistant Team)is a team made up ofprofessional medical personnel who deal with natural disasters they were invited to join this competition.
“We got 3rd place which was not any easy task. Our team, led by Doctor Prasit Wutsitthimeteee from Prince of Songkla University, who was joined by officials from Patong Hospital, had to work together as a team in many emergency situations.
“It is good that we got to reepresent our nation in this competition.”
