FIVERA will return to Phuket for their second performance at Trisara, where guests will be offered a spectacular evening of fine dining and musical entertainment that’s sure to leave them feeling on top of the world, explains Tina Hall, the charity Director of Operations.
“We are so lucky to have FIVERA performing in Phuket again” said Ms Hall. “FIVERA have had several TV appearances this year and their popularity and bookings have skyrocketed. However, the band members love the work we are doing, teaching English to underprivileged Thai children, and they were keen to join us again for another fabulous evening.”
FIVERA perform a unique musical blend of contemporary pop and traditional opera, bringing outstanding harmonizing skills to the world’s most loved opera classics and contemporary classical and pop crossovers.
“The band performs favourites in a new and incredible way; you will be amazed by what their powerful voices can do,” Ms Hall explained.
The concert will raise funds for Phuket Has Been Good to Us, which provides free English education to more than 1,000 students aged from 3 to 18.
“The charity employs seven qualified, fluent English-speaking teachers to provide the best possible English-language education for students in Thai government schools,” explains Ms Hall.
“Our aim is to help Thai youth become capable and confident English speakers and to give them with the skills necessary to secure a bright future and well-paid employment,’ Miss Hall explained.
“As part of this mission, Phuket Has Been Good To Us runs an after-school and weekend programme called Coconut Club for 150 residential students at Kamala School. These children live at school as many of them do not have families to care for them.”
The charity receives no government funding and relies totally on the support and generosity of the community to continue its important work.
“Fundraising events play a huge part in this fundraising effort,” said Ms Hall. “It is hoped that donations received from A Night at the Opera will pay for a qualified English teacher for a year.”
Tickets for “A Night At The Opera” are B4,500 net per person. Event starts at 7pm. Dress code is Smart Casual. Trisara is also offering special prices for a night or two in their renowned villas.
