Patong Police today reported that they had arrested the man, Sahat ‘Max’ Laksakul, 31, a resident of Kamala, at about 11:30pm last night (Sept 20).
Police were informed of a white-black Honda Click 125i “disappearing” from in front of the Meg Khram The Sunshine Restaurant, on the road between Patong and Kalim, at about 5pm on Monday (Sept 18).
Officers were later informed that a man matching the description of the thief, obtained from CCTV in front of the Meg Khram restaurant, was seen in Moo 3, Kamala last night.
Police were soon at the scene and located the man matching the description of the thief.
Confronted by officers, the man, Sahat, confessed he was the person caught on CCTV stealing the motorbike, Patong Police reported.
Sahat has now been charged with “sStealing or receiving stolen property”, Patong Police confirmed.
