Phuket burglars make off with B150,000-plus

PHUKET: Thieves broke into a two-storey home in Pa Khlok in broad daylight on Friday (August 22), stealing seven baht-weight of gold worth about B140,000, along with B10,000 in cash.

They also took two expensive watches and three mobile phones.

Police were called after the owner, Worrarit Sri’on, 34, the son of Forestry Chief at Bang Pae Waterfall, returned home to find his home broken into.

Mr Worrarit said the thieves broke in while he was at work. He came home at 6pm and saw tyre tracks on the dirt road to his home, and rushed in to check.

After collecting fingerprints off the wallet and other evidence, police said they believe two people were involved in the burglary.
