Phuket's Banyan, Anantara and Hilton score at awards

PHUKET: The Banyan Tree Residences development, having won in October the award for Best Villa Development in the Thailand Property Awards, has now won the accolade for Southeast Asia as a whole.

The wins were announced at the end of November at the awards dinner for the Southeast Asia Property Awards organised, like the Thailand event, by Ensign Media, publishers of Property Report Asia.

Anantara Vacation Club, owned by Thai conglomerate the Minor Group scored two awards in the Best Shared Ownership category – the outright Southeast Asia win for the club in Mai Khao, with a highly commended for its sister operation in Samui.

The Nchantra @ Sirey Beach took the award for best condo development in Thailand.
Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels took the Best Property Consultancy (Thailand) award, with highly commended awards for CBRE, Colliers International and Savills.

“Congratulations to all the winners,” said Terry Blackburn, CEO of Ensign Media, the organisers of the event. “We have seen some real world beating developments awarded here this evening that really represent the full gamut of what South East Asia real estate has to offer.”

More than 1,400 nominations were received and from those, over 300 entries, with the most hotly contested categories the Best Condominium awards for both Singapore and Malaysia.

Meanwhile, the Phuket Hilton Arcadia Resort & Spa picked up an award in Marketing Events Awards 2012, held in Singapore on November 22.

The resort received the award for Best Contribution to an Event by a Venue, for its support of the 2012 Asia regional marketing meeting of the MCI Group Pacific Pte Ltd..
