Confirmation of the raid, at about 12:10am yesterday (Nov 6), came via a brief report posted online last night.
Listed as seized in the raid were a variety of mushrooms, all in separate jars, as follows:
- Ghost mushrooms, weight approximately 40 grammes
- Golden mushrooms (70g)
- AA mushrooms (30g)
- Mac 1 mushrooms (20g)
- Ape mushrooms (70g)
- 6.Yeti Star mushrooms (25g)
- New variety of buffalo dung mushrooms (20g)
Also seized was a brochure of the mushrooms for sale.
The person arrested was not named in the report, and the location of the shop was not given.
The person was charged with “possession of a Category 5 narcotic (buffalo dung mushrooms) without permission”, said the brief report.
“The accused was taken to the Patong Police Station to proceed according to the law,” the report concluded.
