No specific details in regards to date, time or exact location were given in the official police report, although it was revealed that the alleged victim, Kansiri Srisuwan, was with her parents in Patong when the incident happened.

According to the police report Ms Kansiri claims she was pushed several times by the vehicle’s driver who then proceeded to verbally abuse her. The driver also unleashed a volley of verbal abuse to both Ms Kansiri’s parents, she said.

Ms Kansiri, who works in the media, explained to police that she has lived in Phuket for over 24 years but never witnessed an incident where the abuse reached such an extent.

Ms Kansiri claims that she had visited Patong Hospital after the ordeal to be checked out for any injuries and was still awaiting to receive the official medical report.

Ms Kansiri revealed the entire incident on her Facebook page, before officially reporting the incident to officers at Patong police station.

Patong police confirmed that they had questioned the driver of the tuk tuk who was alleged to have committed the offence at 1:30pm yesterday (Apr 18) at the station.

The tuk tuk driver, at this stage unnamed by police, claimed he also made mention of the incident on his Facebook page but that the details were very different to those provided by Ms Kansiri so he himself decided to contact the police to clarify his side of things.

The driver said he had no intention of causing any harm and that it was infact Ms Kansiri who had stormed towards him and tried to physically push him.

Officers at Patong police station said they are inspecting footage from local CCTV cameras in the area to determine what really occurred before proceeding further with the case.
