Itthinan Khola, 24, from Nong Bua Lamphu, was found dead on the street in front of the Up2U Karaoke on Phra Metta Rd at 5:30am. He had suffered a fatal stab wound to his right chest.
Police confirmed yesterday that they had taken one man into custody, Nachat Rattanarat, 32, from Surat Thani. Nachat was found walking along the street with cuts and abrasions to his face.
Patong Police late yesterday confirmed they had arrested a second man for the killing, taken into custody in front of the Tops convenience store on Sirirat Rd.
Police have yet to name the second suspect arrested, but did confirm that the knife used in the stabbing had been seized as evidence, as was the white shirt worn by the second suspect at the time of the killing.
Both suspects were being held at Patong Police Station.
Officers have pressed a charge of “killing others with intent”, police confirmed.
