The news was confirmed late yesterday (Nov 30) by the Phuket Info Center.
The repairs began on Wednesday (Nov 29) after motorists reported dangerous cracks appearing in the road opposite the Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket on Tuesday night.
While the repair team deployed to the site were overseen by the Phuket Highways office, Kathu Municipality, Patong Municipality and the Phuket Highways Office still have yet to give any explanation of what repairs were carried out.
The only notice issued by any of the three local government organisations was by the Phuket Highways Office issued a warning in a notice asking motorists to exercise caution while driving past the area where the work was being carried out.
