An operation led by Pol Lt Col Suchart Chumphusaeng, head of the Patong Police Investigation Division, arrested the two last Friday (Apr 5) after Phuket Provincial Court issued a search warrant (No. C.114/2567), reported the Patong Police.
The suspects were named by police only as ‘Mr Chatuporn’ and ‘Ms Ananya’.
In total, 4,045 ya bah pills and 509.14g of ya ice were seized, said the report.
Also seized was a digital scale and drug paraphernalia, police reported.
The initial search was conducted at a room on the third floor of a building on Phisit Gorani Rd, followed by another search at an unregistered address on 50 Pi Rd, Patong Police noted.
At about 4:20pm, following information provided from the previous searches, Chatuporn was arrested at a different house on Phisit Gorani Rd.
Both Chatuporn and Ananya were taken to Patong Police Station to be charged with illegal possession of a Category I narcotic with intent to sell.
