The festival got underway at the Port Area at the Jungceylon shopping mall from 4pm today (July 3) with the Drum Duo Competition.
The Parade Competition continues tomorrow morning, with participants marching along Thaweewong Road, from the Pracha Nukroh Road to Soi Bangla.
“Thaweewong Rd will be closed from 8 am to 12pm. It would be best if motorists avoided the area during this time, one traffic policeman told The Phuket News.
A total of 14 teams are taking part in the competition, with the winners of the Drum Duo Competition receiving B80,000 and winner of the Parade Competition to receive B100,000.
