Police confirmed through a post online that the arrests were carried out about 3:20pm yesterday (June 6).
‘Ms Somporn’ was arrested after she was found with 1,075 ya bah pills and 2.3g of ya ice. Also seized in placing her under arrest was one digital weighing scale and 50 clear, plastic resealable bags.
Somporn was taken to Patong Police Station and charged with “selling a Category 1 narcotic”, said the report.
Myanmar national ‘Mr Sam’ was found with 30 ya bah pills and 400mg of ya ice. He was charged with illegal possession of a Category 1 narcotic and with illegally staying in the Kingdom without permission.
‘Mr Benz’ was arrested with two ya bah pills and 80mg of ya ice, and charged with illegal possession of a Category 1 narcotic.
Two more suspects, ‘Ms Siriporn’ and ‘Ms Kanchana’, were both charged with “Illegal use of Category 1 narcotic (methamphetamine)”, with no further details provided.
